Miami’s South Beach isn’t known for being sedate or mundane. This large apartment in the Apogee Condominium reflects the owners’ desire for the extroverted lifestyle epitomized by South Beach. With spacious indoor and outdoor spaces for entertaining and multiple bedrooms, it accommodates a growing family and its many guests. Taking inspiration from the many historic mid-century hotels in the area, the apartment is appointed with a mix of vintage and contemporary pieces that emphasize the golden age of Miami glamour. More traditional furnishing elements such as chesterfield chairs, rococo lighting, and aubusson carpets are reinterpreted in vibrant and pale colors to celebrate the shimmering ocean-front light. These elements are married with the clean lined minimalism of contemporary seating and tables to create spaces that are dramatic, but without the affectation of a rigidly held style. Its luxury, remixed for the twenty first century.
